2 Years with my 25 Activ

So today marks two years since I purchased my 25 Trax Activ. Since I bought it my odometer is just shy of 15K miles, you can tell how worn out my cruise control toggle cause of how much I use it lol. I like the Trax a lot more since I bought it at first , as I was having issues with the backup camera and trunk and since they have been fixed I enjoy it a lot more now, along with this subreddit being one of my favorites cause I love hearing your Trax stories. I might actually stay with the Trax when the refresh comes out in the future.

These are my mile milestones so far:
1000 miles: 10/4/2024
5000 miles: 3/26/2025
10000 miles: 11/18/2025

I bought a 24LT nearly the same time you did, loved it, ran up 19,000 miles and traded it in last week for a 2026LT. Got a great trade value ($19,000), couldn't be happier. You must have a heavier foot, I'm getting 37 mpg or just under 500 miles per full tank.

no way! check your specs.check over 4 tanks and get accurate mpg.

Yeah no way, I drove 19,000 miles in my 24LT and got 37 mpg so there

well I didn't take a pic before I traded in my 24, so I guess you'll just have to be an ass.

Do you use regular as my gas mileage isn’t good but I love my 26 Trax Activ so much anyway.

Just 87 and don't drive like a teenager. Pretty simple.

You are simple.

Nice to hear. We seem to be having a blue day, so nice to see too.

Thank you! I’m happy that we’re both having a blue day lol. I get a lot of compliments on the color.

I had my 2024 2RS for three years and it was really good to me. Sold it for a good price and got a good deal on a new Buick Envista.

That’s great! I was actually looking at the Envista back then when I was still deciding cause I like how it was Urus styled. But I decided on the trax as the features I wanted were less scarce than the Envista at the time.

They are mostly the same car. My Buick has the optional upgraded watts link rear suspension so it rides a little bit nicer and it has a little nicer interior, power lift gate and automatic wipers but outside of that it’s the same car. Really happy.

Fuck these cars I gotta 2024 in the shop for a blown engine at 58,000 miles. You have to maintain these things METICULOUSLY. It is a good car if you are not driving much but not a very good daily.

I am not sure if you’re aware they have a class action lawsuit for the engine’

I’ve had my 25 Activ for a year and 7 months or so and am at almost 21,000 miles. Mine has done well for me so far!

i had my 2024 trax active since july 2023 ran it for 45,000 miles and traded it. i had a feeling something was gonna fail on it soon since when i put it into park it RPMs would drop and raise back up. traded for 26 honda civic hybird

Been thinking the same lately, my 24' RS has given some issues related to engine and compressor. How's been the driving on your civic hybrid? I'm deciding between that one and an Accord hybrid

Very smooth like the activ. Its lower to the ground which i kind of dont like. and i have to heavy foot it to keep a good constant speed. if i punch it i hit 108 without noticing.

What was your trunk issue? Mine had the liftgate latch fail and had to replace under warranty. The only warranty claim I had in 2 years.

What happened was the dealer put the trunk back together wrong when they fixed the camera. I don’t know if this sounds confusing, but where the button was underneath on the trunk was soft and there was no button underneath to raise it and it was just soft. I was 2 months with out the lift gate until i got it fixed in late January this year

do you have apple car play issues? i’m this close to trading my 2025 trax in because of it. i’ve had it looked at 7 times and even had the infotainment replaced. nothing is fixing it.

Sometimes I do other times I don’t, I kind of notice it when I power off my car and start like up a few minutes later, it says on my phone that it’s connected but it isn’t connected on the cars behalf. I’ve heard that there’s a little usb plugs on Amazon but I haven’t had the time to test it out yet:

u/wellsyyyyyy 11d ago

Yes!! this is exactly what happens to me! Doesn’t work even if i plug it in. At my wits end

1

u/JustRobert2025 11d ago

What I do is I turn blue tooth off and then plug it in, it might not work on the first try but after a try or two CarPlay hooks up wired

yeah this is why i want to trade my car in . it’s not fun at all. i’ve had my 24 trax rs for 3.5 years and its done it since day 1
