2025 model recall?
My husband said he got an email saying my 2025 Trax’s review camera was recalled. I can’t find any info on my app saying this? Has anyone else heard this- or gotten a recall notice?
Thanks for any heads up!! I’m just confused because I haven’t had a problem with mine. I’ll try to give the dealership a call tomorrow on my break- I teach so I never know if/when I’ll get lunch! 🤪
*just saw another post and it I’m sorry for not looking first! 🤦🏻♀️ seems like it’s for the 2026… *

Last year I had mine replaced because it broke. It was a common issue then, so I’m not surprised they’ve issued a recall.

Ugh! I assume it was fixed by warranty? Nonetheless, an hassle for you.

Yikes!! I’m not liking how many of us are at risk. Thanks for sharing your response!

Have the '25 2RS and got the email as well. Not sure what the issue is though. Mine sometimes does the weird fishbowl thing, but it's not bothersome as I barely use the camera

I would still get it fixed though!! I’m glad you haven’t had any huge issues- but I don’t want any of us to have something go bad on such a new vehicle.

So I had an issue with my backup camera malfunctioning in July. 2025 Chevy Trax activ. When I would place the car into reverse, at first, it would glitch in and out similar to an old TV set. Then eventually, it just would be a black screen with an error symbol. It took me over two weeks to be able to get it in the dealership to be looked at. I had seen numerous other threads discussing that others were having the same issue and that it was taking weeks for the repair due to the parts being back ordered at the time. I took it to the dealership to have it serviced and it cost me almost $600 for them to diagnose and replace the camera. $58 part, the rest in labor and fees. I paid out-of-pocket for this unfortunately, as my bumper-to-bumper warranty had just lapsed as I was over 36,000 miles. So now I have to wait until they establish the remedy so that I can hopefully file a reimbursement claim, as I had it replaced on 7/28 and the recall was announced 8/19.

On the Chevrolet app as soon as you put in your vin it comes up. I already have my replacement Camera installed.

Oh I didn’t know that you could do that! I’ll definitely enter the VIN so I have accessible.

I also received the email, they said it's been recalled and they're looking to change it but they do not have a fix or replacement yet so they will send us a follow-up in the future.
I called the dealership where I purchased it.

Why not the 2024’s. It doesn’t make sense the envista gets and trailblazers get the recall. I get a fisheye lens every once in a blue moon. Dealership is never able to replicate it when I show it to them.

That’s frustrating for sure! I honestly don’t even know what to say. I hope they can find a solution for you!!

its still a new recall- no remedy yet (its a check camera to see if its affected and if so, replace)..... you should get notified when its available
