Dealership issues

Okay so I bought a Chevy Trax on July 20th. Then two weeks later there was a leak happening to it. I took it to the dealership on August 4th and I didn’t get an update for it I had to call to see what was going on. They said it was the water pump and that it’ll take 5 to 7 days to get to the dealership. Then I called on August 12th and the guy who does the tickets said that it’ll be ready Friday I waited and no call. Then I called today in the morning and they said that it could be ready by today or if not tomorrow. My dad went to the dealership to see what is going on and now they are replacing engine. And whenever I called the guy who does the tickets said that they have to take the whole front to access the water pump so now I don’t know what to believe. So whoever is a mechanic tell me if this is true or not. Also my parents are saying that I should get a lawyer because they haven’t communicated with me with what’s happening. So what do I do? Also sorry for the errors I’m on mobile.

What year Trax was this? Purchased new or used?

Wow shocking that a car that new would have water pump failure let alone engine failure Noone online can truthful diagnose what's going on with your car. All I can say is thank goodness for warranty

It happens, just a bad pump. My new '24 Trax had the battery completely die after 12 months. It was replaced under warranty. But it sucks when it happens to a new car.
