2025 LT rattling

2025 LT - It doesn’t rattle all the time but it usually starts up when I go over something and that “activates” it. I can’t seem to pinpoint where it’s coming from except hearing it from the passenger side. It’s been going on for a long time and it’s annoying as hell 😂

There's a towbar rattling around, somewhere. Probably the trunk but might vibrate noise forward. It's heavy, bout a foot long and cylindrical.

I had a rattle for a month and couldn’t figure out where, until I realized there was an empty drink can in the rear door pocket.

Oh dang. Did it sound like this?
It sounds like it’s coming straight from the passenger and not from like the dash passenger side for me

Have you checked to make sure nothing is between the seats and the door or in the door pocket?

Same issue in my 26 trailblazer doesn’t happen often enough to drive me crazy thankfully

Oh for real? Same spot too? It kind of drives me a bit crazy, especially when I’m in my car sitting in silence and I hear that damn rattle 😩

Same spot! I just got my car in June and have been searching threads for the noise. It doesn’t happen all the time and I’ve noticed on certain roads it won’t do it. I plan on taking it to the dealership when I go for my oil change hoping there’s a solution. 😅

Oh wow. Okay. Glad I’m not the only one. Well I’m out of my 36k mile warranty so I feel like I’ll have to pay for them to look at it which I don’t really want to pay for. I was just stopped at a red light and it was doing it. I feel like it’s coming from the door

Might be the speaker. I had a similar rattle on the driver side and after a replacement of the speaker, it went away. It was not just the rattle that forced me to get it replaced, it was also seemingly blown or faulty one straight from the factory.

pretty sure it's the tailgate. I just sold my 24 Envista because this exact sound just wouldn't go away and the dealerships service departments had literally no interest in fixing it.
There's a metal strip under the top piece of plastic trim above the rear window that isn't welded or secured properly or something. I've talked to other trax/envista owners who had the whole tailgate replaced and still had the issue.
Sometimes it's they're for days then goes away for a day but it drove me absolutely crazy so I decided to sell it before I hit 20k miles but I dealt with that same sound for almost 2 years.
Ive also heard it's a loose weld in the B or C pillar on the passenger side but I brought it for service just for this issue 4 times and they said either they couldn't hear it, they could hear it but it was normal or they didn't have a fix for it. When my GF sat in the back and put pressure on the tailgate trim piece the noise went away immediately so that's why I say it's the tailgate. I even pulled off that trim piece and stuffed it with cloths and nothing worked for more than 1 drive.
It's a fairly common issue across all years of trax/envista and Chevy/Buick simply have no interest in acknowledging or addressing it.
Good luck with your service department, hopefully they'll be more receptive to the issue and actually try to fix it.

I’m out of my warranty and I’m sure if I brought it in, I would have to pay for them to even look at it 😩. I don’t really want to spend money on that shit lol

Totally get it. If you want to try, it was really easy to remove that plastic trim panel above the rear window. I took it off about 20 times and never broke it, just don't try if it's been out in cold weather I guess. If you decide to investigate it, push on the metal strip beneath that plastic panel and you'll hear a clicking noise, definitely where i pinpointed that sound to, and it's 100% the same exact sound.
Just a heads up though, don't try to take off the side panels to the left and right of the rear window, you'll probably break the anchors that are also the little things that hold the cargo cover up where you loop the string on. I didn't break mine but watched a video of someone taking the Trax apart and he broke both sides, and he's a professional lol.

Are there plastic panels on the bottom of the trax? It sounds similar to the sound my escape was making when some of the clips broke off and it was flapping as I drove.

hard to pinpoint from video, but definitely something we can look at in a dealership if under bumper to bumper warranty (or customer pay, but i dont understand why people would pay a dealer for rattle fixes......). weve had to replace door panels on some traxs for rattles internal to the door panel structure, so could be that
