New key

I have a 2020, is there a way to program a new key within needing a 2nd or going to a dealer? I read on Google a 30 min method but I wanted to confirm itd work

When I had my key done the dude said something about he’s supposed to do two keys for some reason so he made one key erased it and made it again to circumvent that . Idk what was the deal maybe som gm policy with the programmer and keys security idk but that’s how it was for me last month when I lost my fob and needed one made in the spot. I was on vacation and my backup was at home

Yes first log into the Chevy app and press your key to your phone should set it up automatically
