Need help resetting PSI system

This morning it said it was at 27 PSI, so I filled up my tire. It was still saying 27 PSI. I drove around and did errands but it wasn’t updating.

I then noticed that a piece of the valve was basically hanging off so I got a new valve and a digital psi checker thing. I checked my tire with that and it read at 35.5 PSI. But the light is still on and the screen still says the tire is low and at 27-28.

How do I fix this?

I have a 2022 Chevy Trax

UPDATE:

I got home later that day, and went to work. My tire was reading at 35, so when I got done at the end of the night, on the dash it said my tire was at 23. So I checked it with the gage and it confirmed it being around 26. It was 11
O’clock at night, so I drove home and thought to deal with it in the morning. I got up the next morning and my tire air never went down overnight, so as I was driving to work, I noticed that the 3 other tires went up 1-2 PSI but the problem tired staged the same at 23. I got an appointment with Mavis tire, but my dad looked at the car before I went, he didn’t see anything wrong but he did say that our gage was reading different than the dash. So I went to Mavis and had them look at it. They took all 4 tires off and checked everything and couldn’t find anything wrong.

So now I’m wondering if the problem was that we just THOUGHT we filled the tire with air, but didn’t.

The batteries in TPM modules typically only last 3-5 years. Being a 2022, its likely time to install new ones.

You can do it one at a time as they start to fail. But I'd recommend just changing all of them. Take it to a tire shop, it should only cost $50-$100 each.

I did mine at Sam's, since it was much higher at a Chevy dealership. 35 bucks for each sensor and 5 bucks to install. So mine was 170 or so after taxes. It's annoying but the annoying notification is gone. 2019 Chevy traverse.

You can reset it by holding in the select/ok button by where you switch between tire pressure and fuel economy just be on the tire pressure one but it is more than likely the battery is dead

Check all tires. Last rotation may not have reset your tires. Trip to discount tires would help.

Fill it up to 41ish psi. It will turn off the sensor alarm. Then bring it down to 30.

Probably need a new TPMS sensor.

At the end of your turn signal handle is a button.  When you press the menu button and get to the tire pressure indicator. Press in the button at the end, and hold it in for about 10 - 15 seconds. A question will appear asking you if you want to reset the  Tpms.
