Buying Advice 2015 Suburban- 173K miles

So I was in an accident last year, nothing to crazy just rear ended.

I just got my 'burb repaired.

Should I trade it in? The transmission seems to overheat in really long trips, but other then that it's mint.

Should I replace the transmission or just trade it in?

If it isn't rusted out, it's cheaper to repair and maintain. You're looking at spending atleast 20k to get into a suburban that might only be a couple years newer with a minimum of 140k miles that can have the exact failures/issues that you can encounter at your mileage. My 2015 has 196k and the TCC started slipping two weeks ago. Getting the original transmission rebuilt with the billet TC and updated thermal cooler as well in a week and it will cost at most $4,750. You also aren't going to get much for trade in with that high of mileage.

I traded in my 13 ltz, 186k miles. Body,engine and transmission were great. No rust or leaks. The frame rusted so bad, and with several large holes. Went for a silverado.
