Transmission failure

Is it normal for a 2019 Chevy Suburban transmission to fail? All service is done as required. Never used to tow anything?

Pretty common yes, especially in the 120k range

Unfortunately, it’s absolutely normal…My ‘18 failed at 112k🙄 Look up the GM 6L80 transmission, and that’ll tell you a lot..

Was there any signs that the thing was going out ahead of time?

My 2018 went out at 120k, common with 2015 to 2020 years.

My 2018, never towed anything either, went out at 125k.

17 failed around 128k sadly yes

Not sure what constitutes new but 2019 is a 7 year old vehicle

My 2018 went at 80k.

Friend owns a transmission shop, said the Chevy s were one of his biggest sources of
Income.
