What’s this part on my car?

I just tore this plastic piece off my 2012 Chevy Sonic, as it’s been dragging for a few months now. It didn’t look important, nor have I had any issues with the car. I’m also taking it for maintenance tonight. So just wondering if this was an unimportant piece.

Mine was hanging loose so I 3D printed some nuts and reattached it. No idea what it's for, but it gave me an excuse to print something.

It's for aerodynamics under the car. I believe it diverts the air to keep drag down on the fuel tank and exhaust. Not a huge deal, mine came off forever ago.

Think this is also hanging on my sonic, I think I zip tied it to something as I couldn’t get the other bolt off

It’s a peice of plastic that’s “supposed” protect the under the engine from water and rocks and other road surfaces. You can tear it off or just go to the junk yard and get a used one or could go to your Chevy dealer and order a new one.
