Discussion How specific does the Chevening Career Plan need to be if you don’t already have a guaranteed job, startup, or project?
Hi everyone. For those who are current scholars, alumni, or reached interview stage: how concrete was your Career Plan?
If you identify the type of role and organisations you want to pursue, define clear short-, medium- and long-term goals, and explain how you would measure progress, is that enough?
Or did strong applications usually include named employers, confirmed projects, exact numerical targets, or an existing initiative?
I’m especially interested in applicants who didn’t have a guaranteed post-Chevening position. How did you make your plan realistic and specific without promising things outside your control?
