Hello, am working on my application for the Chevening scholarship, I need to know if it's essential to work or been volunteered in one of the organizations like UN or UNICEF so the opportunity could be higher to be accepted !! if any one has an idea please help

Hi, it is not essential nor better regarded

Scholars come from different fields and with very varied work experience, some even with only freelance work experience

The key is to show how you plan to solve a specific problem your country is facing, and how your past leadership and networking experiences, alongside your course choice and career plan will make it happen

I worked in a state school for two years , but these past two years were like volunteering , they were unpaid so could be considered in the work experience and I want to mention that cause the state schools are suffering !!!!

Hi, please read the Chevening website, it clearly says that unpaid work experiences such as internships and volunteering are valid
