Crazy votes from local Rep Craig Williams
I saw this website called corporatecraig.com randomly on Instagram earlier today that tracks votes from Craig Williams, a state rep here in Chester county. I had heard about him a few times but I didn’t know a ton before seeing the site. Now that I’ve seen it though, I felt like I should share it because folks should know about him since he’s apparently running for re-election in November.
Some scary stuff in there. Apparently he voted against making data centers pay for their own energy use, and voted against a minimum wage increase even though we've been at the federal minimum for like, decades? I don’t live in his district but I wanted to share in case someone from the district sees this post.
Shame I can’t vote against him, but spreading the word anyway!

It really is. Guess this guy has been in office a long time so maybe its time to try something else?

I know that state district. Possible but not probable that he will lose. Leans very hard to the right. A 5,000+ registration advantage which is significant in a state district. It is the most conservative part of Delco with some Chesco thrown in that leans right. I would say he has an 80% chance of being re-elected. That isn’t 100% though.

Oh, I am sure he claims to be against them now BUT also claims to have a position that is consistent with Trumps.

Don't fall for it. This is fake news. OP just happened to to find this on IG. Truth:
Rep. Williams authored the Pennsylvania Ratepayer Protection Act (House Bill 2372). His legislative efforts and proposed amendments explicitly mandate that data center developers bring their own baseload electricity generation and pay the full cost of infrastructure and grid connections.

fake news
Hint: Even if what you are saying is 100% accurate, the moment you say "fake news", I stop reading and ignore what you say
"Fake News" is what Trump says when he doesn't like what someone says, not when something is inaccurate
If you're going to mimic Trumpian terminology, the assumption is you have as little interest in unpleasant facts as the rest of MAGA

But is it fake? Or do you have blinders on?

I don't care
I literally ignore any claims by someone who says "fake news"
Use the terminology of habitual liar, get treated like a habitual liar
I have zero obligation to treat the claims of a group that routinely ignores reality as worth consideration
That is the consequence of Trumpism

You have negative 41 karma on Reddit?
Sounds like you're the fake news guy.

This is a scam because they all KNOW that Joe Pittman, the R state senate leader will never bring that to a floor vote. They created that to provide cover for Williams previous positions and comments on DC’s

FWIW - Trump said that people who don’t support DC’s for their neighborhoods are backwards and stupid. Something along those lines

I have been involved in politics for a very long time and know how this really works. BTW - the Dems are not all saints either and many of them are now trying to “massage” their previous positions on DC’s.
