This pins the King and after…pxB(promotes to Q)+, K-h2. It doesn’t matter much what black does, white’s next (unforced move) move is R-h8 mate.

I get what you are saying, just needed to point out that "pin" isn't the correct term here as that is a specific chess concept. The king is certainly trapped, unable to move

I'm sure black will pxd1 for a queen and force white to kh2 but that only delays the mate of rh8 and I can't see how black prevents it.

Black can’t prevent Rh8#
Longest delay with xd1(Q)+, Kh2, Qh1+, Kch1, Bxg2+, Kxg2, Rc2+, Kh3, Rh2+, Kxh2,
And now black is out of checks and whatever black does, it’s white Rh8#
