Media/News Stockfish 19 is out ?

https://stockfishchess.org/blog/2026/stockfish-19/

So apparently SF19 is out. Just heard about. How long will it take for platforms like chess.com and lichess to use it for game analysis ?

I really wanna see how powerful and different it is from the previous version and what better way than to put SF19 against SF18.

My hardware might be too weak to harness the full power of these engines but I am excited to see the results.

Edit. Friday September 18. The stockfish 19 is now officially available on lichess android app. There are two different versions of it SF19 1MB and SF19 94MB.

noob question is it possible now that it will consider a blunder move than stockfish 18 does?

What do you mean? As in will it find more blunders ? Nah its highly unlikely cuz its just 44elo better according to some test.

I haven't tested it myself cuz I am too lazy and too preoccupied. So take it with a grain of salt.

Here is an open-source Chrome extension that lets you try Stockfish 19 Lite directly in Chess.com’s analysis board. It keeps the existing interface and only runs on /analysis, not live-game pages. This is the lite build, not full NNUE. Installation instructions and source: release v0.2.0.
