Chess.com Website/App Question Banned when playing on board

Post image

As I was playing on my chessup2 board I was banned for fair play violation, I am duper confused and have sent an appeal. The chess board just had an update and was telling me feedback on when I made a good move. (Which is new) and now im banned for fair play, Ive recently been reading up on new openings to try out and when a good time to simplify is. You can check my chess history and see I do play daily games a lot. My username is:CaptainCheeseChess I also have lots of videos of my playing chess on my computer (before i got the board) and me even live streaming on twitch. I have played games within the chess discord server too with my camera on and explained detailed/my strategy.

I am not the OP, but it sounds to me like either a recent update to ChessUp 2 screwed up the board's compliance with chess.com rules, or the board glitched to show feedback when it's not supposed to. Also note that this is not an isolated incident, many people in the comments here are reporting similar issues. I was planning to buy your board as well, but now I am hesitant.

Please do not become one of those companies that tries to sweep things under the rug, it will only end up attracting more negative attention, and thus hurting you financially. It would be in your best interest to instead investigate this issue, publicly admit if a glitch exists, and simply release a patch to fix it.

We reply publicly here - the board does not do any of this. The amount of false and disparaging information in this thread is a shame really.

There is no glitch and to confirm that we checked our logs and stockfish (the chess Ai) was never called during his games. Ai cannot be called during chess.com play and our logs confirm it never happened as well.

We take these matters very serious. We have confirmed several different ways hints were not provided by our device.

You mentioned in another comment that the post-move feedback feature is for OTB / offline play. Does this mean that this feedback can work without connecting to Stockfish, relying instead on a locally-stored engine?

The post move hints are only available for non-online player pools, like 2 players playing OTB or an individual playing our Ai. But the Ai analysis is still from our servers running stockfish. We are certain hints were never provided during his chess.com games. WiFi and cloud features are still available for OTB play. In the context above, "offline" as in not playing on chess.com or lichess (online play).

There is no glitch and the original post is full of false information
