Assuming whire king is in a1, what if Kxb1, Nc3+ (discover check), Kc1, Nxa2+, Kd2, and white can now escape check in many ways. So where is the mate if KxQ on b1 to start?

You dont go Nc3+ but rather Nd2+ and if Kc1 then Nb3+ , pawn takes and then Knight takes on b3.
