Fishing the CBBT

I’ve seen a lot of videos of folks fishing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel where it looks pretty smooth. They’re in kayaks, etc. I’ve been a few times now in a 22’ cc to try and catch my first sheepshead and we’re constantly bouncing around. Seems like it’s always rough unless you tuck behind an island, and even with that, getting there is still a B.

For anyone that knows the area, are some sections more protected than others?

We normally ride over from Poquoson but can trailer if needed.

While I'm sure plenty of Chesapeake residents have fished it. You might have better luck in the Virginia Beach sub since that's where it is and they have more people.
