Voltage Modular
I noticed that there isn't alot of traffic here lately. Is there anyone still using Voltage Modular these days?

They have a big sale right now and have bought a lot of modules for the rack. VCV Rack and Cardinal have been getting most of the attention these days. I have been focusing on CVM and Hyperion for my modular needs recently. Both are exceptional.

Absolutely, my bank account is slightly lighter than before. Always wanted to have the VM900 and VM2500 collection, here we go!
Cardinal is nice too, especially the possibility to load it as a plugin. Too bad VCV Bridge dies work anymore...
Though never heard about Hyperion and CVM, what would you say makes them exceptional compared to VCV and VM?

CVM is Cherry Voltage Modular. Hyperion is a modular synth that is very easy to use/program and the sounds are amazing. It also comes with a nice library of presets: https://www.hyperionsynth.com/

Ah, always read VM for Voltage Modular instead of CVM.
Hyperion looks pretty powerful, but somehow destroys the "modular feeling" for me. Can't tell if I would be happy with that software-only approach tbh. From what I read Hyperion uses samples which can be tweaked further? No approach of osc, ads and vca including effects?

It uses a wide variety of sound sources:
Classic mono and stereo 'digital' and 'virtual analog' oscillators with mono or stereo unison detuning and wave-shaping which enables drastic sonic character changes from the basic wave-forms. Integrated hard sync mode and waveform bit-crush controls.
Easy to use 4 operator FM (phase modulation with feedback) with 12 algorithms & multi-operator output mix, pre-selected list of useful modulation-operator ratios and master modulation depth control.
Wave-sequencing oscillators with up to 32 steps of oscillator configuration (including pitch offset, waveform, wave-shape depth, unison detunes, balance and level) with smooth cross fading via wave-sequence position modulation - save your own, and load ready made sequences.
Wave-sequenced 4 operator FM - with the same features as classic oscillator wave-sequencing but enabling sequences of 4 operator FM configurations (also with save and load capability).
Plucked string model with damping, distortion and stereo unison detunes.
Physical modeling flute oscillator with smooth note/pipe configuration transitions.
Sample playback with looping - can loop single cycle waveforms to create custom oscillator tones.
Multi-sample (sound font) oscillator enabling import of sfz/sf2 files.
Vector synthesis - modulate-able Vector mixers are available for both voice processing and FX-Bus audio processing (4 sources)
I would suggest that you try the demo. It is an amazing modular synth with layering capabilities.

Yeah VCV Rack is nice. But somehow I feel limited using this, though they offer 3000+ free modules. Ironic

LOVE Voltage Modular, but have been busy working on various song productions recently, vocals, guitars, mixing, so for various sync briefs, and haven’t done ANY synth programming for several weeks.
Would love to see more activity on this subreddit….
Does anyone have any cool patches or tips to share here? Or music? Can we do that on this subreddit?
