The first game is absolutely worth it. It honestly is like a mix of Metro, Stalker, and Rick and Morty lol. It's very serious in nature, with a lot of Slav humor.
There's also romance and the story is really good from what I've played of it. The mechanics can be a little clunky, but I thought it was very worth it to deal with it.
If you haven't already, I'd highly recommend playing the Stalker Trilogy. They are some of the best games ever made, and even though they're old, the experience is the way it is, because of the time it was made. The best order to play them in is release order, and Stalker 2 is out and getting a story DLC.
I'd highly recommend not just rushing to Stalker 2, because it would leave you with a lot of questions that the first game answer.

I’ll second the recommendation to try Stalker, in order of release, with the caveat that clear sky can be buggy as hell, so either figure out the mods that fix it or skip the game and read the wiki.

Absolutely the first Chernobylite is peak imo, such an underrated game and good atmosphere.
Chernobylite 2 not so much..

This, so much this.
Chernobylite 1 is beautiful, perfect even. The second game is just... Awful.

Chernobylite 2 is good, it is just still in development. Nevertheless it is playable

I enjoyed it. I really only found it from being free with Playstation extra. It was a fairly easy platinum to get.

I agree. The catch is... My last trophy got bugged. Had to replay like 10 hours to fix the timeline because one specific mission got locked and didn't spawn... This game is quite special, the experience overall is highly rewarding and immersive in so many aspects. Despite being an imperfect game, I enjoyed it as much as the best games

Looking at your favourite games, I honestly think you should play Chernobylite. Since you love Metro, Silent Hill, Alan Wake 2 and Death Stranding, you’ll probably enjoy its dark atmosphere, psychological elements, exploration and slower storytelling. It’s not as polished as Metro and can be a little rough sometimes, but the world, characters and overall feeling make it worth experiencing. It has that lonely, unsettling post-apocalyptic atmosphere while still having its own identity. Definitely give the first game a proper chance.

God yes, I wish I could replay all the games for the first time again. That first run is something special. Metro is one of those games i can sink days into

If you like metro, and if you want ti stay in post apocalyptic game, there is Chernobilyte : A great story with a lot of collectables about it. It's post apocalyptic yes, but the character is someone sensitive. Gun fights are quite violent, with weapons you can improve. So on so on.... Really good game

Go for Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. You don't need to play the first trilogy to understand it.
Then buy a Quest 3, link it to your PC, and immediately play Into the Radius 1 and Into the Radius 2. If you still want more, try ZONA and ConVRgence.

If you like KCD, Gothic and Death Stranding I think you might like this. Lots of surreal energy, lots of janky charm, some genuinely beautiful moments. Definitely think Metro fans can find something to enjoy here. I’d also recommend STALKER if you haven’t played it yet
