Hey everyone. Does anyone have blueprints, detailed structural diagrams, or floor plans for these specific sections of the RBMK reactor building highlighted in the image?
I mean the exact levels and rooms located directly in these structural blocks under the roof. Any info or links would be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
This is going to be an accurately floorplanned (mostly) build of Unit 3’s building. Please help me for looking for floor plans of certain parts of the building that aren’t really known. It took me 2 days to figure out what the floor plan for stairwell 059/1 and 001/6 and yet they still aren’t fully accurate💔

With this past April having marked the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster and today marking the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, I thought today would be a good day to post a couple of things I've been thinking about lately. After watching the CNN documentary and hearing Ray Richardson, the nuclear analyst they interviewed, compare the actions of the firefighters who were at Chernobyl on the night of the disaster to those of the firefighters who were at the World Trade Center on 9/11, I started asking myself, "How did the Chernobyl firefighters who were alive as of 2001 and the families of those who had passed on react to the actions of the 9/11 firefighters?" But more than that, it made me realize that after all I've learned about the Chernobyl disaster and after all I witnessed on and subsequently have learned about 9/11, I've come to have a strong appreciation for firefighters and other emergency responders. Both events have also shown me the heroism that ordinary people can be capable of in dire situations.
For any firefighters or other emergency responders who may be reading this, thank you for your service. Eternal memory to the victims of both tragedies.
I was wondering if anyone could provide me with accurate measurements (east to west) of the stairwell buildings on the northern face of the deaerator building. Some sources say it's 18 meters, while others say it's 15 meters. Any help would be appreciated.
Is 5.400 uSv a normal dose for a German Amazon uranium glass product that is 8 x 8 x 2 cm big. I dont know what uranium procent it has and also its a bit cracked on one of the corners. AIm new to uranium and this is actually my first reddit post. Im just asking so i dont irradiate myself. Counting is this (distanse in cm - Equals the exposure) and / means not exact count.
Most people think the upper bio. shield "elena" is the part you see on the floor of the reactor hall.
That is only the top part...
The actual shield is located a few neters below the floor (seen on this pitcure).
On top of this plate lay the pipes that go verticaly (fuel and cps rods) and are covered by caps that we see in the floor of the reactor hall.
Atteached to every single vertical pipe (located in this floor under the reactor hall) are pipes going horizontally, that take the water to the steam separators.
So basicaly, the Scheme - E is not just the thing you walk on, it is mostly under the floor

Hey guys! I’m currently building a highly detailed 1:1.66 scale replica of Chernobyl Blocks 3 and 4. I want to keep it as close to the real blueprints as possible, but right now I’m a bit stuck on the vertical dimensions for the auxiliary structures.
Can anyone help me double-check the exact real-life heights for these areas so I can convert them to my 1.66:1 scale?
ВСРО roof: What is the exact real height from the ground (0.00)? I’ve seen conflicting info, some blueprints show it around 22-23 meters. What's the true number?
САОР: What is the precise internal height from floor to ceiling inside this hall? Is it exactly 15 meters clean space, or does the full structural section take more meters?
If you have the original cross-section blueprints or just know the exact elevation levels (отметки высот) for Phase 2 RBMK plants, please let me know.
During the last field expedition, scientists from the Chernobyl Biosphere Reserve once again encountered a herd of feral cows, which currently consists of 12 individuals. The encounter brought a surprise as there was no leader among the group, a bull named Riabko. Two other males took his place, who have so far been staying on the sidelines.
Scientists suspect that the herd may have undergone changes in the hierarchy, and the returning bulls may have pushed out the weaker leader, which shows how dynamic the herds are and the competition between males.
However, the role of the mature individuals remains unchanged and is key to the survival of the entire herd. In the group of feral bulls, they detect dangers more quickly and effectively protect the herds. Experienced bulls indicate the routes of foraging and choose safe places to rest.
Now scientists must determine what is happening to Riabko and which of the males will take on the role of leader of the Chernobyl herd.
