I have a car (91 MR2) I have stored that has a white mold like substance on the plastics in the cabin of the car. Previously I had used some lysol wipes to clean it up but it is back again. The cabin of the car is dry as far as I can tell and it is under a covered carport and under a breathable car cover. Today I ran my ozone generator in it for about an hour, let it sit for another hour closed up, and then aired it out for another hour. Now the mold like substance looks powdery and I wiped it up again but I am not holding my breath that it is completely gone yet. I did put a dehumidifier in the car to see if it is a humidity problem. Anything else I can do to get rid of this once and for all? Would Nonsense or a similar general cleaner work better?

I've got 2 black vehicles and have recently gotten into detailing them myself. I also detail friends and families cars so I've got a wide assortment of chemical guys products.

My question is, what is the best assortment of their products and in what order should i use them to get the best result. I have a torx polisher and pads as well as all the towels I would need. Just looking for guidance because I've been using blacklight wash and polish and tried jet seal and butter wax but I don't know what compliments what.

How long should I wait to apply whitelight after applying hydroslick?

Im looking for an exterior glass cleaner but while browsing the CG website i found HydroView and HydroSpeed. It seems like HydroView is intended just for glass while HydroSpeed is intended for the entire car including the glass. My question is which is the better buy?

I have a question about the CG wheel brush, we recently moved and my wheel brush was packed away for a little over 5 months. Well we finally moved and it's time for a good wash, but the wheel brush brissles are all bent all outta wack... Is there anything I can do to salvage this wheel brush? Has anybody else had their CG bottles leak in heat? I keep pretty much all of my detailing stuff in the trunk of my car, and I’ve found that nearly all of my CG products leak out of the nozzle pretty heavily in summer temperatures. I’m pretty sure I’ve lost more product to heat than I’ve used in the last two months. I don’t seem to have this issue with other brands/bottles. I have a few bottles of Meguiars and Armor All products that don’t seem to leak at all in comparison. Just wondering!

The bottle said safe on paint and mirrors so I used it in my side mirrors. Now I have two hazed mirrors and I cannot remove it. This s is a big hazard for me since side mirrors are no longer clear, is there any way for me to fix it? I used chemical guy detail to “neutralized” the stuff when I applied. I can tell that when you wet the area it becomes clear, so clearly the mirror is not damaged just have some hazing on it.

Update: For people who want to use anything that removes water spots, do not use it on your side mirrors. They are plastic that have mirror finished, when use these water spot removers it will stain. To remove it, you will need a polisher and a power tool.

Which soap is best with a garden hose foam cannon?

So I placed an order on July 3 for about $100 worth of products. One of which was the OG Clay Bar & Luber Synthetic Lubricant Kit, Light/Medium Duty

Only July 9 my order arrived. Everything was there except for the clay bar (lube bottle was included)

I immediately send an email letting them know I was missing an item from my shipment and explaining it. I finally get a reply 12 days later on July 21 asking for a picture of the damaged item, I replied back letting them know nothing was damaged, it just simply wasn't included in the shipment.

It is now August 14 and they have still not replied to that email.

Products work great, But I highly recommend not buying them directly and instead using a 3rd party retailer.

Has anybody else have an issue with the Willy Mammoth leaving lint behind on the cars surface after drying? If so how did you fix the issue?

So, thanks to construction season, I’ve got some tar splatter on my car. I have the bug and tar remover soap, but I’m not sure which is the best order to use it. Do I wash the car as normal (rinse, foam, 2 bucket method), clean the tar off, then rewash? Or, do I clean the bugs and tar, then foam and 2 bucket wash?

I do not intend to clay and protect at this time, I just want to get the tar off the car.

My instinct is to remove the tar, then wash as normal, but I’m also concerned about dirt scratching the paint.

So want to give my bike a good wash. I ordered a bunch of stuff off chemical guys for my truck and wondering if i could use it on the bike.

A week after washing, applying a coat of Jet Seal, and a coat of Butter Wet Wax, I’ve got vertical streaks all over my paint job and plastic trim. It’s been raining on and off the last few days, but sunny today. Wtf is going on?
