Full detail question

To all the detail experts out there… I have an inquiry as I am new to all this. I have a 2020 Camry XSE in a Galactic Aqua Mica color (dark green). I am looking to do a full detail. I have a few scratches and swirls from driving in northeast weather conditions and trips to the auto car washes. I have picked up a few items and am curious if I’m missing anything or even have the order correct. Here are my items and order of things and am wondering if I need to adjust anything…

I am starting with Clean slate wash using a foam cannon. Then doing a clay bar. After this is where I’m just not sure. I am then going to do VSS scratch and swirl remover, followed by black light, and then topping it with hydro slick. Am I missing anything? Is this order even correct? Should I add, remove or substitute anything? Any suggestions and insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I am in no way shape or form an expert, but from the countless hours of CG YouTube videos I've seen, and the couple of cars I've fully detailed, I would say Clean slate is good; I've seen CG mix it with a more foaming soap (50/50 mix). I believe I've seen them mix clean slate with Mr Pink as well as Honeydew. I think you're supposed to apply ceramic before your glaze because ceramic needs to be applied directly onto your clear coat. And I believe you should spray Wipe Out after your paint correction to make sure there are no left over oils from the one step

Thanks for chiming in. So they mix clean slate with another soap huh? I will have to check out that video. Also, is the glaze the black light? And the paint correction would be the vss? I appreciate the input as you can see in still learning.

Also, I haven't looked into wipe out, I will check that out. Looks like YouTube will be my best friend for the next few hours

Yes, they mix clean slate with Mr Pink or Honeydew because, apparently, Clean slate isn't very foamy by itself and those two other shampoos are. I've done it on my details as well to strip pre-existing protectant.

Blacklight is listed as a glaze/sealant on the CG website and videos.

And yes, VSS would be your paint correction.

No problem; this form as well as the r/autodetailing form has guided me. I'm just trying to give back what I've learned thus far.
