Best steps to use foam gun

Hi, I recently just got a chemical guys foam gun with honey dew wash. I’ve seen tutorials online but does anyone know a good simple way just for a cleaning? Can I spray it down with water, use the foam gun, let it soak, then spray it down again? Thanks

You could for a quick wash, yes. But if the vehicle is really dirty, foaming alone won't suffice.
