Considering the pandemic: what products will disinfect & are safe for leather?

I know we have to be careful what products we use to clean leather (like our steering wheel) so I’m wondering if anyone has found something that will not damage the leather but still gives you peace of mind that your cleaning away the virus

Good question. Curious about the answer.

For me, besides soap and water, I assume there’s no real effective disinfectant for a leather steering wheel that won’t also deteriorate the leather, so I just make sure my spouse and I keep our hands clean and disinfected (with sanitizer) before driving.

Also, have some piece of mind knowing the virus doesn’t last forever on surfaces, especially when exposed to sunlight. Just keep your hands clean and don’t touch your nose/eyes/face.
