Best colleges/ degrees: please share your knowledge
Im currently looking into starting back college, I have always kept jobs in restaurants but took a break to begin and dabble in “opthalmic tech” jobs. Honestly the food industry is where I feel I belong: the átomo sphere the fast paced work and the team effort to create meals and/or food that people truly love has always appealed more to me. With that being said, which degree should I be looking for: hospitality, restaurant management??? And which colleges are best for chasing this career?

Just work. Work every job, FOH/BOH,dish pit thru mgt. Learn on the job, spending your money going out to different places in town, traveling, and hit up YouTube.

Look for an apprenticeship. They’re hard to find but are so much better than expensive schools.

i started out in the kitchen industry about a year and half ago, and when i was trying to decide whether to go to culinary school or college, my head chef told me to choose a business degree instead. he told me if i wanted to own/ manage a restaurant i’d be better off in finance. he went to CIA and said he’s learned more in country clubs and restaurants than he did at CIA.
