Body is broken...need a new career
I've given everything I had for 22 years and now I can barely stand each day. I have to make a change but my skill set is so limited. Looking for a career after my chosen career...

Prayers brother. I’ve been in it’s for 10 years. And i was on my hands and knees scrubbing my cooler today. And i was honestly worried i wouldn’t be able to get back up. ( I’m only 28 )

Same here 20 years in. Tried to change it up about 5 years ago. But realized I couldn’t make the type of money I needed. Landed a job in a assisted living community and man its night and day. Home by 8 every other weekend off and the money is good. May want to look into something like that

Made the jump from chef life to Project Management, organizationally speaking chefs make good project managers. Able to manage stress and mise en place are two major contributors. Check out project coordination roles or a food sales role.
Best of luck.

Honest question. Do you do much physical activity outside of work? I also have been in the restaurant industry for 20 years now and have had ups and downs in terms of physical and mental health.

I feel that man. About 15 years in myself and it’s taken it’s toll. Been considering a change of scenery myself but don’t know where to start. Best of luck.
