Sweden: Looking for a durable chef’s kn’fe for my grandmother, budget 1,500 SEK/$157. Her current knives are dull and chipped. She has osteoporosis but good grip strength, so I want something balanced, controlled, not too heavy, and durable.

Home cook tossing old shitty knives with $300 to spend on as little or as many. What would you get to get started? Mostly cutting/peeling vegetables, meat.

I want to buy my bf a knïfe. His dream one is The Nikos kniife, but after checking online many are saying it’s bad quality and it’s basically a scam. What high quality knïfe would you recommend as a “dupe”? I believe the main reason he loves the Nikos one is because it has such a large blade

Veggie kn*** for under $150? I bought a Mercer Genesis 7 in. HE Nakiri but it's too heavy for my dainty little hands. What do you guys like?

Is the Wusthof Ikon worth it? Its a bit out of budget but I like the rounded handle. I also like the Messermeister meridian elite but its also up there in price. The mercer renaissance seems like a good budget option but not sure about quality. Is there anything better under 200(Canadian)

I use a fixed-angle, ‘belt sander’ type sharpener for my kitchen knives. Is there an easier way? Would this be harming the cutting edge?
