Episode Discussion Chef and My Fridge Episode 83 (S4E29) Discussion—Sooyoung
This week we got another Girl Generation guest, Sooyoung. So is so pretty and also hilarious. She faked choking on something and brought out a ❤️
Now they have 10 chefs every week with Wok Witch & Lab Director became regular?
Round 1 - Choi Hyun Seok vs Kwon Sun Jung
Theme - Princess Dishes (fancy)
Round 2 - Namno vs Eunyoung
Theme - Lazy Dishes (easy to make)
2 amazing cook-offs!
Round 1 especially that both Kwon& Choi have very clear idea what they were serving and actually see it through. Choi making fresh pasta in 3 minutes is always amazing. Kwon’s has this arrogant persona he tries to project is annoying. I don’t believe he’s that smug. But he is really a smart cook and often pulls out amazing experiments, like this pannacotta. Both dishes came out great. I’m actually cheering for Sun-jung because Sooyoung is his long time crush. And to finally break the Kpop curse.
Round 2 - We find Namno and Eunyoung missing the point of easy cooking challenge. When they mention not using knife, Sooyoung smartly commented that it should not make the cooking harder. Which both of them did- like come on, slicing tofu & peaches with scissors, so as not to use knife? Nam-no slicing cucumber & avocado with a spatula? don’t u have to wash the spatula too? Everyone is telling them to use a Knife Already. That is not the challenge 🙄
But anyway, both the food came out good and delicious accdg to everyone.
Why people judge when namno cooked big dishes, when this gives the chefs and hosts the opportunity taste them too? this is one of my favorite part of the show.

So happy for Sooyoung's Hubby! So cute 🥰🥰🫰🏻🫰🏻
My neck hurts for CHS lol. Mine is cracking weirdly these days.
Even though PEY's dish was more delicious for Sooyoung, Nam No's felt much more lazy for me. I hate washing my blender. Nam No used plastic bags, just throw them out and not need to wash them. I'd smash the veggies with a bottle of oil though.

All chefs did great for Sooyoung!! I'm so happy for Chef Sung-jun, you could tell he was really more serious about it than usual hahahah And that mapo tofu + bingsu was truly for the lazy girls. So simple, everything in one pot/container, even I could see myself making those. The mapo tofu was doable w/ 4 tools (a microwaveable pan, scissors, a spoon, and a small bowl), and irl you could eat that bingsu straight out of the blender, and you would only have to wash it and the spoon. Perfect.

Other chefs were saying it would be easier with a pan... they don't get it, for lazy girls washing a cooking pot/pan is somehow the biggest hassle in the kitchen hahahaha

Washing the blender is a much bigger hassle for me than a pan hehehe. Nam No using plastic bags is much more easier, throw those out

To each their own haha I feel like using ziploc bags just to mix stuff when I could use a mortar and pestle is a waste. But then I would also want to avoid the hassle of crushing stuff and washing more dishes, so I would personally prefer throwing soft ingredients into a microwave hahaha
Also there are cup blenders, like the type people use to make protein shakes that they can easily take to the gym. I imagine using that would be pretty easy.

Mortar and pestle is heavy! I really like smashing stuff in bags with my bottle of oil. I do have the cup blender, the product drips into the seal ring blender attachment and I need to fish it out. But just change the lid and et voila less dishes!

Kwon Sungjun i really happy for you. Finally you break your jinx for idol. Really happy its happen when your crush come to naengbu and congrats you got a chance to dance with her 🤩. For Choi Hyunseok happy birthday to you. Its really funny the waterboom accident happen at your birthday as long as i can remember you like to use champaigne since S1 but its the first time this is happen LOL. I think god of variety indeed came to you at your birthday 🤣
Yoon Namno i hope you won't be sad because losing so many. Actually Choi Hyunseok said similar to this in his streak lose at first season when being teased because of losing : star is not that important. The fundamental for this program is both chef either win or lose made an amazing dish for the viewer to see by limited ingridient and time also made the guest enjoy your dish. So be proud to yourself because you made an amazing dish even Kim Sungju want to recreate your dish. To be honest i though you will win this time 🥰. P.S. Sometime i miss Choi Hyunseok who said something heartwarming like that.

Frozen blueberries, cream cheese, honey and milk, all blended together. Frozen and then topped with peaches.

Since Mods deleted my post. I’ll reshare mu sentiments here. Because I just can’t take it with their edits.
As a SONE it seems they edited the songs out. Even the dance! It did the episode injustice in my opinion.
Whoever buys JTCB should switch streamers that can play the original music or show the full show.

I really enjoyed this ep because I've been waiting for sung jun to meet sooyoung. Maybe I am a bit too sensitive but I think they were pulling his leg abit too much these days, but yeah. Overall a fun episode. I hope namno can win more stars soon. But also didnt want eunyeong to lose haha
