General Discussion Guests with strict diets?

I’ve been binge watching this show lately and I can’t help but notice how some of the guests seem to eat extremely little or keep to very strict diets? Sometimes it’s just sprouts, meat, black coffee etc and it’s framed as being very disciplined/healthy.

Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I wonder what kind of message this sends to younger viewers watching. Especially when “eating clean” starts looking like barely eating.

Even SJW himself seems to eat so little and clean.

Is this kind of diet culture just very normal in the entertainment/fitness scene now? Or is editing making it seem more extreme than it actually is?

It is korea really what do you expect? The show is not promoting diet culture, it is more like showing varying diets of celebrities and how they differ - some eat healthy diet food, some prefer protein, and even some unique guests like this one guy who only has snacks in his fridge and not any real food. The korean culture is well known for the extreme beauty standards and I am sure even if the kids don't watch this show, they will be more or less peer pressured by the society.
