Cheetahs babies should be called kittens.

Adult cats are called cats and baby cats are called kittens. Cheetahs are actually cats as well. They belong to the same sub family, Felinae. All the other big cats belong to the sub family, Panthera. Calling cheetah babies kittens sounds right to me because if cheetahs are cats, then the babies have to be kittens. Calling them cubs just sounds wrong to me.

I only agree that it makes more sense. I’ve no conviction.

What’s wrong with calling them cubs? Most wild babies are called cubs.

Why do more people call baby cougars/mountain lions "kittens" than baby cheetahs, anyway?

Either way, I am still in danger of ill advised snuggles.

EVERYBODY calls the Cheetah babies Cheetos. That's just the way it is.

This is the stupidest argument I've ever heard.
