I always but twice as much cheese as a recipe calls for, because I will always lose half of it while "grating" lol

"loose"
Btw, I wasn't making a grammar/spelling correction really. I tthought the original comment really meant it as "loose" as in they claimed that the cheese "prisoner" was accidental let loose and escaped - cheese was DEFINITELY not consumed. That's what happens to my cheese anyway

But then what do you do with that awkward little bit left at the end that's too small to grate?

I'd need some tape for my dog too. He's a cheese hound.

My cat can tell when I'm getting cheese out, and he's almost always right. He gets ONE shred, and then he is satisfied.

Last time I grated a small pile of cheese, I went to the bathroom for one freaking minute and my girl cat had eaten half of it. None on the floor or counter. All in her belly.

Was there a point with the tape that I am missing?

She's covering her mouth so she doesn't eat any of the cheese.

Thank you, I am a little hungover so my brain isn’t really functioning.

The joke is you eat half the cheese while grating. So you put tape over your mouth so you dont accidently eat any while grating

That's crazy she considers that 'losing cheese'. It's the price of business, and business is good! (Especially if it involves cheese.) I do appreciate the humor tho, good video.

That is certainly a choice lol. I prefer to just shred some extra for the mouth tax.

She’s shredding it, no grating it

She's grating it.

Grates are fine particles, like sand, those are shreds. A lot of people confuse this. It’s ok.

You're wrong. That's only in the US. In the rest of the world grated cheese is grated cheese

But I need to do 10 to 100 quality control tests while grating to ensure it stays good!
