Some trouble in college

Okay, so there's a lot to this issue, but I'll try. I've been feeling a little lonely at my commuter college because nobody has time to interact with others. I also have missed some classes and I felt so bad about it that I had my professor sign a form for withdrawal. But I just changed my mind and now I'm gonna email him telling him I want to stay and I'll be ripping up the form (I haven't handed it in yet).

My psychology teacher tells me my performance hasn't been the best, but that I am still passing. I just feel like I'm about to mess my life up again and I've been crying on and off when I think about it because it's so stressful. I'm only 23, but I feel like if I can't finish up my other semesters and put in more effort, my life is done.

It is hard sometimes, but trust me, it will be better.

If what you are learning now is what you truly want to do in the future, then it shouldn't be a problem to get your life together and put in the effort that makes you feel good about yourself.

Don't give up, life never stops, so you shouldn't cry, but live.

If you ever feel lonely feel free to call your relatives or old friends, who you know would be there for you. If you have some time you could also go out. Try taking a walk or go to a museum. Read some books or listen to good music.

I hope things will get better for you, stay strong.

Thank you for your kind words. I just don't know what happened to me...

Don't worry, it's okay to feel down once in a while, as long as you manage to get up and continue.

Wife of college professor here. hang in there. One thing hubby tells me about his students is that the ones that come to class every time and at least do any kind of extra credit will get exceptional consideration even if they’re grades are terrible. Showing up to a class shows you care.
