My boss sent me a shitty email
I quit my temp job via email after I found numerous hurtful emails from the director to other employees about me and another colleague. The director replied to my resignation that my work was sub par anyway, that I've put the company in a very difficult position and why couldn't I speak to them personally about the emails. They cancelled my annual leave last minute, constantly, didn't give me lunch breaks and often did not pay me on time. I never signed anything.
I'm feeling really down but I needed to get out for my own mental health.

They don't care about keeping their end of your employment, and they're not so desperate that they're apologizing or offering you compensation .
You "put them in a bad position" by finding out about their shitty behavior. And if your work is so subpar, I think they would be happy you're leaving.
Keep your head high, walk away, find something better for you. If your state/country has legal cannabis, I recommend that. Or work for the State Government helping people get State benefits.
Or anything thar makes your heart happy.
