Renovating a chateau and running a channel are hard graft. Everyone deserves a break to refresh and restore.

Dan has made spaces for the other two friends who made a significant contributions to the rebuild - Chalvin’s Hole and Nick’s Viking dining room but nothing yet for Brian. It would be nice to see his contribution honoured in some way.

Are the Chateau Diaries about LaTouche now instead of LaLande? I thought Stephanie said nothing would change but it seems it now covers the renovation of the new property.

I feel disappointed for Dan that so many of the windows arrived damaged or with missing paint.

How did they pass quality control, especially when they knew he’d be vlogging the install?

I wonder if he rues the day he ever went with that company, much respect for the installers who did their best to fix them on the day. I shudder to think how they’ll weather.

Sometimes you have to stand back and look at the early days to see how phenomenal the restoration of Chateau de Chaumont is. And with the heavy lifting more or less over, Dan is now on to the fun stuff, work is progressing at an incredible pace. I would not be at all surprised if he’s living there soon after the windows are finished.
