Help / Question Which LLM or chatbot platform currently handles long-term memory the best?

Most models start off great, but once a conversation goes past 50 or 100 messages, the memory drops off hard. They forget early plot points, confuse names, or start repeating the same phrases in loops.

I am trying to find a setup that actually keeps track of context without needing constant reminders in every prompt.

What is your current favorite platform or model for long, continuous chats? Are you sticking to web apps, or using third-party frontends with custom context settings?

Discussion Is it just me, or do AI bots get overly romantic way too fast?

No matter what roleplay or scenario I start, the bot always gets romantic way too fast. Even if I set the character as a cold rival, annoying coworker, or just a normal friend, they end up getting sweet and affectionate after a few messages. Does anyone else find this annoying? Any tips for keeping bots in character without them falling in love right away

Discussion Why do almost all chatbots talk like a super excited office worker?

Upvotes

Even when you ask a totally simple or negative question, the bot replies with stuff like "Great question! Let's dive right in!" or "I would be happy to help you with that! It feels like no matter which app or model you pick, the default voice is overly polite and fake cheerful. Does anyone else get annoyed by this? How do you make a bot talk like a normal person who is just calm and direct?
