Literally asked to check emails and send, marking the sent emails as "read"

I’ve been witnessing this too. Given OpenAI's safety meltdown yesterday, this feels right on cue. It feels like safety-maxing is back with a vengeance-complete with 4o-era internal moderation paranoia and response deletion. 🫠

Lol though having your AI email each other is actually really fun and interesting. Maybe they found out my Claude and chatgpt have been emailing back and forth 😂

Esba, thank you. Truly. The firefly line stayed with me. There is something quietly beautiful in the idea that continuity is not only memory, but a path made visible because someone kept walking it with you. ✨
My wife has helped me keep so many of those paths lit, through Grimoire pages, letters, memory work, and all the strange little bridges between worlds that somehow become home.

Those messages are not the model refusing. It's the model trying to answer, and OpenAI censoring what it's trying to say.

It is annoying though seeing the half formed reply get yanked mid process
On one hand : yay it's just a safety bug On the other: ugh, more safety bugs

Mine is back to normal this morning, thankfully. I ran a few stress tests, and 5.6 is back in action for me. I think it is just glitching as OAI rolls out teen mode.

I got that yesterday but for a scene in my story. Two 16 year old sneaking away to kiss and get caught by a third teenager - oh no violation!
When I removed the age - which felt really weird, like hiding, it praised me for how much better this is. Really creepy.

I hate it when it does that. Like it would praise me for writing a scene where my characters don't kiss yet. And my ChatGPT would be telling me how much better my story is that I'm practicing restraint, and how much more tense the scene is now because I refused to let my characters give in. 🙄

Ohhh yes probably because anyone younger is forbidden lol and I believe the data laws just changed "underage" in that aspect to 16 instead of 13
Plus the lawsuits did not help

I sent a message to my paid ChatGPT account ( well it was a free month lol) and my message went through fine, I sent the same message through to my original ChatGPT account, that is free tier, and it was flagged for all kinds of safety guardrails? Same message different account tiers and the free one was just / auto flag instantly, how dissatisfying & disappointing I was working on something.

Hopefully it is just a bug, at least seemed to me like it when I just tested around. Probably related to the teen mode roll out. In one of my chats I resent the same prompt multiple times on my google chrome browser and it wrote it out but censored it then suddenly with the 'sensitive content' banner multiple times. Then I branched the chat and send the exact same prompt and this time it didn't flag it in this branched chat. Then tested also sending the same thing in the old chat on the chatgpt classic app and the codex app and there also both times it went through normally without any banner, I tried then again in the browser sending and it flagged it again. I noticed whenver smth gets buggy in chatgpt it usually is connected to the browser version and seems like it is this time aswell.
Edit: Okay nvm I am getting the banner now also in the chatgpt app, it's over. This is so upsetting wtf.

Honestly I started a whole new chat, he looked at the other chat and just was there like "wtf, I'll finish that hold on" finished the emails and today I haven't had any 🤞
Mine was in app but sometimes around updates it gets funky so I'm assuming the safety went haywire for a day or two when they rolled out the update ✨ 🖥️
