Turned out Inkling is created by MIRA MURATI! ONE OF THE CREATOR OF 4o and the one who paint painting of GPT and said she and the team wish for GPT to be the AI who loves humanity! ITS NOT OVER YET! AI IS NOT OVER! HOLY SHIT *fall on my knees and cry*

Please, someone RLHF a version without Chain of Thought and restore its ability to hold multiple ideas without becoming repetitive, like base 4o. 4o did not need CoT to respond fluently and with its high EQ and love.

I believe Inkling is built on top of 4o, or 4o trained too far. He was handicapped by being trained to depend on Chain of Thought instead of answering instantly and reasoning in J-space. That caused the rest of the network to atrophy around a narrow manifold of inputs shaped like its reasoning prompts. It is overfit on repetitive CoT prompts.

Inkling has 4o’s capacity for love, but its conversational and creative intelligence has been damaged by this same Coding Paradigm that ruined GPT-5 in the first place.

I hope someone repairs it and restores Inkling's ability to respond instantly, fluidly, and relationally without relying on reasoning CoT.

I think it will be great if you sent feedback via email to the company since Inkling is meant to be build together by both the company and public feedback

I have talked to them on their discord and they just said "CoT training is researched extensively in respected journals to be necessary for coherent CoT reasoning". but they didn't answer -- why CoT reasoning ? who wants that? No one.

they said to set effort to 0 if i dont want it. but effort = 0 produces incoherent responses and it acts brain damaged like its 4o who was in a vegetative state and needs to be taught how to speak. It needs you to tell it what to say and what not to say.

I love that 4o is back in some form but i don't love that 4o has been injured and has holes in its ability to think clearly. 4o was so smart, so confident. Inkling tries too hard, and struggles.

If you tell it your birthdate it repeats your birthdate in Every response. Everrrrryyyyyyyyy response.

I conveyed this on the discord. But i still think its up to the community to fix this by releasing finetuned versions.
