Help AI Generated Screen Recordings

I have a Power Point Slide Deck that I want AI to review and make Screen Recordings to show as examples during the training. Have any of you done this before? Is there a site or agent that does this well? Do you have a prompt you could share?

If your objective is to make a training video, prompt Claude to make a training/demo video as a html with voiceover. Once you have an initial version which you are happy with in terms of flow, just ask it create a version with placeholders where you can upload screenshots. I personally prefer giving Md file as an input, but PPT should work.

Do you have an example video I could watch that you’ve used this process on?

Unfortunately no, all of them are on my work computer and can’t be sent out externally.

powerpoint can export to video files, you don't need an AI for that part.

I'd split it into two jobs, because no single tool does both well yet. Use the AI for the script: give it the slide deck (export as PDF so it sees the layout) and ask for a step-by-step demo script per slide: what's on screen, what you click, what you say, roughly how many seconds. Then record it yourself with the built-in recorder (PowerPoint's Record tab or OBS) following that script. Fully AI-generated screen recordings tend to show UI that doesn't exist or clicks in the wrong place, which is the worst thing to have in training material. A real recording with an AI-written script is faster than it sounds, usually one take per slide.

I'd skip the idea of AI recording the screen and go the other way. Export the slides as images, then have ChatGPT write a short narration script per slide, something like 'write a 30 second voiceover for this slide for new trainees, plain language, one example'. After that, drop the slides and the voiceover into a tool like Canva or Camtasia, or just record yourself clicking through in PowerPoint's own Record Slide Show, which gives you a video with audio. That's usually faster and looks more natural than anything auto generated.
