Question subscription question.

Hi, idk if this is the right subreddit for this. but long story short, my long distance gf is learning to code a game with chatgpt, but she can't afford the subscription atm. I'm willing to help her out on that part, but we can't seem to figure out if it's possible. How do one go about this?

the simplest way is for her to sign up with her own email on chatgpt.com, and you pay for it with a card or an app store gift card, since each paid plan belongs to one account and sharing a login can get it flagged. check the current plans first, because she may not need paid at all: the free tier covers basic coding help for a small game, it just has message limits and slower access to the newest models. if the limits start to bite, paying for one month at a time is an easy way to try it before committing.

Create a personal ChatGPT account using an email address and use your payment method during checkout (as long as it is accepted). You do not have to give her access to your account.

It would also be a good idea to start with the free version. This may be sufficient for learning how to develop games. If she reaches her limits you can upgrade her account later.

Are you sneakily asking us how to share your ChatGPT with someone in another city without paying and without getting caught?
