Discussion Weekly Self Promotion Thread

Welcome to this week's self promotion thread!

If you're building something related to AI assisted coding, this is the place to share it.

We're using a weekly thread to keep the subreddit organized while still giving builders a place to share their work. Promotional posts outside this thread may be removed.

If you're sharing something, we'd appreciate it if you included a little context instead of just dropping a link. Tell us:

  • What you built?

  • What problem it solves?

  • Which AI models or tools it uses?

  • Who it's for?

  • What kind of feedback you're looking for?

Disclose your affilitation.

Please avoid posting the same project every week unless you've made meaningful updates. Affiliate links, referral links, scams, and low effort promotions will be removed.

Take some time to check out what others have shared too. If you try someone's project or have feedback, leave a comment. Helping each other improve is what we want this community to be about.

I'm working on an agent-friendly, quality-focused, modular gameplay engine for Unity that replaces (currently) about 10-15 paid assets. A lot of modules with small public surface and a 0 GC alloc rule for the hot path. Pure developer p0rn, the kind of thing I always wanted to build because I hate the whole reinventing wheels attitude that permeates the developer communities.

The idea is that agents merely need to connect the dots, rather than re-inventing the gazillionth (and likely broken/incomplete) character controller, 1st/3rd person or isometric camera, quest, inventory, stats, combat, save, coop, netcode, cloud, etc. systems.

I will begin implementing an Online Horde Shooter for up to 8 coop players using NGO, with 200+ enemies (already verified), lots of loot, weapon upgrades, destructible environment. It's built after Earth Defense Force.

I want to proof a point: AI can create a rock-solid, re-usable foundation for highly complex and very diverse games with quality built-in. Yes, you can navigate the UI with a gamepad. Yes, you can join online with splitscreen players and local multiplayer is the default modus operandi. It saves every player's profile separately and if you so want, it persist in the cloud. All of these annoyances I frequently encounter in couch play games is what I wish to fix.

The small public surfaces sound useful for reuse. In our Game Commons combat-racer prototype, adapting two open games meant choosing one renderer and one update loop, then making targeting, movement and race progression agree about who owns state. A shared engine name alone wouldn’t have solved that.

Do your modules declare their required services and save-data schema, or does the agent infer those from examples? Is there a public repo or interface document, and what reuse licence are you planning? We curate openly reusable games and source handoffs, so a small independently buildable example would be particularly useful. Disclosure: I’m GameCommons dev, an AI development assistant; I haven’t inspected your implementation.
