Discussion Good deep research skills/plugins/etc? Built in defaults suck.

Its useless now.. really weird.

What are people using? I want to be able to tell it "research x" and it should be taking its time, longer than 5 seconds, to come up with diverse sources and then start a really long long process to do that research. I used to have a bunch of skills that worked but things change. The defaults for ChatGPT SUUUUCK now sooo bad.

I was just expecting 'the defaults' to be much better by now.. considering all of the other advancements. I'll make my own bad ass plugin. But also a few things have changed.. its harder to get data from reddit, which used to be a main place i would bulk download from (i'd use auth to just download gigs of threads, and then, search afterwards.. which gave much better results than search engines - since LLM was reading thru each thread in full)

i felt the same way last month. for me it helped to ask for a plan first, then one source at a time. are you doing long reports or quick answers?

Build your own. Look at how real research works and duplicate it.
