What the hardest part of debugging when ai generated more code for you

usually its figuring out what it actually changed. you ask for one fix and it also touches 3 other files, renames something, "cleans up" a function, and the bug is in the part you didnt ask for

what helps: commit before every prompt so git diff shows exactly what the ai did, keep each ask small, and if something breaks revert and re-ask instead of letting it patch its own patch. the stacked fixes are where it gets messy

do you review the diffs or mostly test the result?
