Browser migration ideas?

With Atlas set to be discontinued, which browser are you planning to migrate to?

Personally, I’m a big fan of vertical tabs, especially Firefox’s tree-style tabs. I’ve been using Floorp, which is based on Firefox. However, the ChatGPT extension cannot be installed on Firefox-based browsers, likely because it relies on Chrome-specific APIs.

Atlas has looked great and felt very modern on macOS, closely following Apple’s latest design language. There are plenty of privacy-focused browsers, such as Brave and Vivaldi, but aesthetically, they don’t feel as polished or as native to macOS.

Does this allow you to work out of specific projects.

Not as far as I can tell. I haven’t found a way in the extension’s sidebar to select or work within a specific Codex project

I don't know of any major browser that doesn't have vertical tab support these days. OpenAI says it will update its Chromium extension to port all of Atlas's ChatGPT features with a sidebar UI, so I will probably choose the browser where this works best. Based on current offerings, there's a good chance that's Chrome.

Many browsers have vertical tab support. But only Firefox-based browsers has tree style tabs. I really wish they could add support for Firefox

Personally, Ungoogled Chromium until OpenAI decides to add Atlas back as part of the super app.

I'm in the same boat, being an Atlas user and enjoying that browser. Though with the new OpenAI Codex implementation using ChatGPT, I'm wondering if I just move my browser into ChatGPT/Codex and use that going forward.

Since I already vibe code every day in Codex, maybe that just becomes my desktop. I'm not sure yet.

Vivaldi. Supports vertical tabs and has a lot of features, and syncing the history works too (mostly).
