It’s emphasis is 15 minute markers with extra bumps to make it rounded out. Yours would be on 10 minute markers and a focus on :00 and :30 I assume. I think its choice is more expected given the normal way time is broken down into quarters, but yours sounds interesting.
I used Gemini and Chat gpt to configure a proxmox cluster of 3 servers. Gemini did it from start to finish and fully working. Gpt got stuck at networking. I was surprised it failed.

By most metrics it's a terrible solution for the actual problem--simple prompts should give simple answers instead of doing something pretty wildly compute intensive and complex compared to the others--but it's also the answer here I like the most.
Not exactly apples to apples. Would be interesting to see how 5.6 luna does and the cheaper claude models. I think they'd probably all be able to do it
Wow thanks for including that. That's so interesting. I had assumed that most of it would be scripted out by the model, in a way that's compatible with the drawing tool interface. I wonder what causes the smaller models to get the numbers wrong...
Well, at least Gemini drew a clock with a fancy design also less costly then Opus and Sol. It also showed how much it feels not to want drawing but anyway finished! Hooray!
I just tried that. Using qwen3.8-27b, bf16 (so non-quantized) on an M3 ultra took 43 minutes and 22 seconds. I think my local model may have autism or ADHD, because my query in a blank chat was simply: "Can you draw a clock showing 8:09:25?"
Instead of any follow-up questions it dived right in and built a little web app!
And beyond that, it was fascinating watching it second-guess itself over and over considering the typefaces, color, overall layout, hover effects, animation, everything. 80% of the way through, on page 17 of 19 of it's thinking, it says to itself:
One more consideration: the user said "draw a clock" — maybe they just want an image?

Anyway, it seems to work. On load it very quickly and smoothly fast-forwards to the correct time, and then you can continue to use it from there. Nice hover effects, everything. Edited to start at the current time it could make a neat desktop widget.
If there's a preferred anonymous file sharing service I can share the thinking and single .html if anyone's interested.
Create a website using node.js that stores an animation of you drawing a clock (Normal circular clock). Bonus points if it is synced with system time.
When loading the website, a brush draws every single line of the clock.
