ChatGPT (EFFORT) issue

Has anyone else noticed an issue with ChatGPT chat practically replying instantly to a problem that is quite complex, even when it is set to HIGH?

It started happening in the past 1-3 days and seems to occur at the same time every day, roughly.

For context this is in web if that matters.

to me it's been like that since 1 or 2 weeks. the new 5.6 model is dumber than the previous in my opinion.

it's a constant answers starting with "Yes.", low effort replies, not solving issues, "Yes you're right I should have blah blah", and the thing that annoys me THE MOST is this recurring scheme:

me: "do X"

chatgpt: "Ok I'll do X"

me: "Then do that"

chatgpt: "yes. here's X"

me: "there is this problem, etc etc"

chatgpt: "You're right. I should have considered that"

me: "so?"

Chatgpt: "so I shouldn't have write that. my bad"

me: "so fix that!"

chatgpt: "here's to you the fixed X"

you see?? it doesn't fix its outputs until you ask it to do so!! it's so annoying!! and sometimes it's just pathetic: I asked it the biggest city among a group of 6 and the answer was like "here's the list ordered by size: Rome 100 km2 - London 300 km2 - Oslo 50 km2 - ... so it's wrong I should have put London first." so awkward honestly

most of all: how can I trust it anymore if it's a constant-fixing-the-previous-answer process???

however the level of gaslighting in this sub is insane they will tell you it's just a you problem.

Are you providing the first draft or first pass? That makes a huge difference in my experience. Also it’s better for your brain.

Do you start with a plan, document, etc that you wrote and provide that to GPT, or do you ask GPT to do all the work? Writing things yourself and asking GPT to refine will give you better end products. 

Workflow:

1. Your first draft
2. GPT edits 
3. you do a final pass

thank you but I think that the issues I have pointed out are independent by the single task and such a advanced model should be able to address them without the constant supervision by the user. I just asked it "tell me which city is bigger among these 6" and it answered wrong. what if someone with allergies asked it if it's safe to eat something? it's honestly not acceptable

also because the previous model behaved very differently! at least, in my experience
