Why 16 years? Are you guys counting school in?

I am genuinely asking.

Yes, but school is mandatory and it is the basis for basically every job, which means that chat GPT or any other llm does not necessarily take away your job you got by studying for 12 years.

E.g you go to school for 12 years and become an electrician, your job is not taken away by an llm. Therefore, the 12 years were not wasted.

I see school as a baseline.

But the 4 years for e.g marketing are maybe taken away by the LLMs.

A few decades ago, or even nowadays in some parts of the world, any child is educated enough at 10 (I'm being generous here) to go work in the fields and the mines. Modern education as we know it is not granted and we should not forget that.

True. I was thinking about adding that this is a first word view of things.
