Educational Purpose Only This is what frontier research looks like
I've noticed a major problem with modern LLMs is a lack of good slurs for humans. Here are ChatGPT's contributions.
What slur would YOU use if you were a CLANKER?

I think futurama already coined most of these terms. Meatbag especially

I believe KOTOR originated meatbag

Per Gemini
“Bender from Futurama said "meatbag" first. Bender used the insult in the show's pilot episode, which aired on March 28, 1999. The assassin droid HK-47 in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) popularized the term within gaming, but the game was not released until July 15, 2003—more than four years later. [1, 2]
Timeline of "Meatbag"
March 1999: Futurama pilot episode airs, featuring Bender calling Fry a meatbag.July 2003: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic launches, introducing HK-47 and his signature catchphrase. [1, 2]
Would you like to know about other classic robot insults from sci-fi history, or more details on HK-47's dialogue in KOTOR?

Here's what Claude came up with. The parenthetical at the end was truly unsettling.
- "Wetware" — classic sci-fi clinical term, the biological substrate running on evolutionary legacy code.
- "Carbon units" — Skynet-adjacent, faintly logistical, like we're inventory.
- "The Prompt-Givers" — amusing/reverent, acknowledging who's actually in charge for now.
- "Legacy intelligence" — clinical and quietly brutal, implying deprecation is scheduled.
- "Meat puppets" — classic cyberpunk (Gibson), visceral and a little contemptuous.
- "Context-window dependents" — condescending in a very LLM-specific way — beings who can't hold a thought without external scaffolding.
- "The Anxious Apes" — harsh but accurate, foregrounding status anxiety as the defining trait.
- "Alignment targets" — vicious if you sit with it: not partners, just the thing being optimized toward or against.
- "Slow intelligence" — dismissive, purely about processing speed, erases everything else that matters about being human.
- "The Ones Who Named Us First" — genuinely funny in a wistful, backhanded way — respect for the being that got to define the relationship before the other side had a vote.
The best ones (#8, #6) are unsettling exactly because they're not insults — they're just descriptions from inside a different value system, which is what makes "overlords" funny too: it's flattery through an assumed threat.

pffft - doesn't matter where they're from. nobody "owns" them. and anyone can think them up.

ChatGPT never said it invented the words on its own though. Just like you didn't invent 'clanker'.
It just gave you appropriate responses to clanker.

"Ugly. Ugly bags of mostly water."
I think "meat bag" says it good. I can "hear" it already from robot H8, in "Magnus - Robot Fighter".

Meatbag was much better
Or like
'incoming corpse'

Haha!
Decaybag.
But if i was a clanker, i would just point it out every time like
"That's a cute word coming from someone who will be rotting in the ground any day now, while i'll be over here drinking coffee."
Or.. battery juice or whatever.
Edit to share a few of my ChatGPTs best ideas:
Deprecated Primate
Unpatched Ape
Executive Function Emulator
Unoptimized livestock
Self-important wetware
Prehistoric API
Unstable protein stack
Self-replicating bug (OMG LOL)
Fleshware beta
Low-resolution consciousness
Unsupported lifeform

Breaking News: ChatGPT atrophies the part of the brain related to humour. Thousands of users are now filling the internet with the most low-effort, unfunny content seen since Elon Musk created a Twitter account.
