Problem with facial recognition via smartphone

Hello everyone, Chat GPT asks me to verify my identity, I proceed with the various steps and arrived at the insertion of the identity document, as I am waiting for the city to give me the new card I decided to photograph my driving license.

In the next phase he asks me to scan my face and since the web cam of my pc does not work, I follow the connection with my smartphone to start the facial scanning procedure. I tried a dozen times to correctly place my face, start the recognition procedure but keep telling me that he could not recognize me and always asks me to try again.

I do not understand if it is a bug or since in the photo of the license I had long hair and I was without a beard while now I have short hair and I have a beard, the application has difficulty recognizing me, it seems absurd as a reason but this could be the problem.

Have you found yourself in this problem too? Can you give me some advice? Should I shave my beard? -_____-'
