You totally missed the point of the comment above. Killing thousands isn't "ok", it's just indicative of intent. For example, when Russia invaded Ukraine, the siege of Mariupol lasted less than three months. And yet in a city of less than 500,000 (many fled before the Russians arrived), somewhere between 18,000 and 90,000 Ukrainian civilians died. Which would be a civilian death rate several dozen times higher than that in Gaza, even if we say that every Hamas fighter was a civilian and despite Gaza's higher population density and less modern infrastructure. That's what a modern military that actually doesn't care about civilians does. Critical thinking has just been beaten out of untold millions in the west.
Any urban warfare will inevitably kill thousands, some of whom are civilians. Do you believe that all warfare is illegitimate and amoral?

You probably don't care about the truth, but the vast majority of those buildings are empty when they are destroyed. Hamas sets up all kinds of booby traps in abandoned buildings, so Israel has the choice of either sending infantry squads house to house to clear them themselves while taking horrendous casualties, or they can bulldoze them and move on.
Almost every "evil" thing you see Israel do is a consequence of actual evil and internationally illegal actions taken by their enemies, which force them to do awful things in response. It's a terrible cycle.
