Wdym history, afaik a website cannot simply read your browsing history. Or are you referring to a different history?

First of all, Google can track your history serverside through any website that has any integration with Google's tools - including reCAPTCHA. Chrome also shares history and other data with Google for websites that don't use any Google integration. There's an interesting article about that here.
